GECO
GECO aspires to be a catalyst for change in the fields of ecology and sustainability.Mission is to unite innovators, experts, entrepreneurs, and the public in a collaborative effort to shape a future where ecological balance and sustainable development are at the core of all life aspects.
Challenge
GECO – Naming, Branding & Visual Identity System.
For this sustainability-focused project, we developed the name GECO, inspired by the gecko, a native and symbolic creature of Bali—an island renowned for its connection to nature and ecological awareness. The gecko represents adaptability, regeneration, and harmony with the environment—core values that align perfectly with the event’s mission.
As a central visual motif, we incorporated the gecko’s footprint as a bold, organic design element across the brand system. This unique shape became a key pattern, anchoring the identity across all touchpoints—from digital to print—while giving the brand instant recognizability.
We built a vibrant, modern identity using rich gradients, earthy tones, and jungle-inspired greens, balanced with clean, minimalist typography. The chosen sans-serif font reinforces clarity and approachability, while the contrast between bold titles and light body text enhances readability and visual rhythm.
The result is a flexible and dynamic identity that supports a wide range of applications, from the EXPO, COMMUNITY, FESTIVAL, and FORUM visuals to social media, merchandise, and digital platforms. Each sub-event was colour-coded within the system, creating cohesion while allowing for individual character.
